Still at it!!!

Here it is, November of 2008 and I find myself sniffing around Blog Land for some fun Christmas projects! I still have boxes and tubs full of sparkly, fun crafting goodies, ready to go! I recently assembled this "Bits 'n' Pieces" collage for one of my sweet nieces birthdays!!! She just exclaimed when she opened it, "Oh!!! I LOVE it, and I KNOW how special this is!!! Should someone tell her it's also known as (AKA) a "What's Left Over on the Craft Table" collage??? Regardless, I am pleased she liked it! My favorite square is the upper right one. My sister and I made matching dresses for our daughters when they were about 5. The picture is 3 cousins, two in their twin dresses. And the lavender print fabric background is a tiny piece of the fabric I've saved for 18 years! My, how the time passes...

OHohOh OH!!!!!!!!!!! I'm picking myself up off the floor! Sallie blogged today!!!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!

I love the bits and piece collage you made for Christy. I opened up the picture real big so I could look at all the boxes up close! I can't believe you still had some of the fabric from the dresses you made. How special! I'm sure she loved it.

You must have been off school today! And making things for Christmas is on your "to do" list? Very cool!

I'm leaving tomorrow to head out to Silver Bella. How I wish you were going, too! You'd love it and we'd have fun together.

Love,
Heidi

The bits and pieces collage is fabulous. No wonder she loved it. My 14 year old daughter would like something like that - I've been inspired to start one for her, thanks to you. I feel like I'm never going to catch up on her scrapbooks, so this will be a little something to hold her over.

I commend you for pursuing your teaching career. I'm just a sub - I have the highest respect for teachers. It's a tough but rewarding job. Enjoy your Thanksgiving break!
